About Dr Depen

I graduated from the Royal London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2005, and from the start, I was drawn to cosmetic dentistry for the impact it can have on a person’s confidence.

I was fascinated by how something as simple as a smile could completely change how someone carries themselves through life.

But my perspective changed years later, when my mother’s health deteriorated due to breathing complications related to sleep apnoea.

One night, I sat up with her as she struggled to fall asleep. She was in pain. She turned to me and whispered, “I can’t breathe.” I had to call an ambulance. She passed away soon after.

No one could give me a clear reason why. And that haunted me.

Since then, my obsession has been with the airway — and how the teeth, jaw, and mouth can either support or restrict it. That moment shifted my career from focusing solely on smile aesthetics to protecting something more fundamental: a person’s ability to breathe, sleep, and function properly.

Today, I practise both smile and sleep dentistry, combining aesthetic and functional care. I take a whole-body approach, working closely with trusted specialists — including myofunctional therapists, cranial osteopaths, and airway orthodontists — to create results that aren’t just beautiful, but more stable and sustainable over time.

Outside of work, I’m passionate about travel, tattoos, and my godchildren :)

I’m a bit of gym nut and I live a plant-based lifestyle which helps me feel more energised now in my 40s then i did in my 20’s!

If you're looking for a dentist who sees the full picture — not just your teeth — I’d love to meet you.
